Vintage Rock Pod - Classic Rock Interviews

13-01-2023 • 7 mins

On this day in 1978 The Police entered the studio to begin recording their debut album, Outlandos d'Amour. It would go on to launch one of the biggest bands in the world. With me on today's episode is drummer with the band, Stewart Copeland. He talks about what it was like in the studio in the early days compared to much later when they had become famous. You can hear the full interview with Stewart Copeland on Episode 72 of Vintage Rock pod - he talks about why they split up, what the tension was between the members, the re-union and more. Plus it took place just after the Taylor Hawkins tribute concert at Wembley Stadium so you get to hear all about that wonderful tribute event and all the big names that were there too. Episode 72, check it out!! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
