Jay Bawcom is a USATF certified running coach and is based in Flagstaff, Arizona. Jay is a decorated coach who trains recreational and professional athletes, including ones at the Olympic level. In this episode, we discuss all easy runs, its importance, how it helps runners, how to adapt to it in your training cycle, and much more.

Jay Bawcomholds a Bachelors's degree in Nursing and a Masters's in Education- Curriculum and Instruction.  He was offered a teaching position in Kenya, the world's epicenter of distance running. This allowed him to see things up close and personal, and he soon got drafted into a coaching job that he loved and never looked back. He has coached everyone from middle schoolers looking to lose weight to state champions to international athletes and everyone in between.
