Shangri-La Frontier Review(ish)

Set in a near future where full-dive VR games dominate and traditional screen games are retro, the story follows Rakuro Hizutome, a "trash game hunter" who excels at mastering glitch-ridden, poorly made games under the alias Sunraku. After beating the notoriously flawed "Faeria Chronicle Online," Rakuro feels burnt out. Encouraged by his favorite game store owner, he tries "Shangri-La Frontier," a top-tier VR game with 30 million players. As Sunraku, his bird-masked avatar, Rakuro uses his trash game expertise to navigate this new, polished world.
