Conversation starters with colleagues or professional contacts can look different than those with new friends or acquaintances. Your initial efforts can start a conversation that might help you build valuable relationships with coworkers and colleagues. “So, what do you do?” Did that question make you cringe? Maybe it takes you back to that awkward dinner party where you couldn’t think of any other way to kick off a friendly chat. Are you shy and want to confidently start conversations? Or perhaps you're trying to overcome being an introvert and would like ideas for how to get speaking practice. How to deal with UNHAPPY customers!

How to deal with UNHAPPY customers!
Dealing with unhappy customers is never easy. But, despite the headaches, angry customers are good for business — you just need to know how to relate to them! The simple thing is that your business will not succeed if your customers are dissatisfied. An angry customer is convinced that your company neither cares nor listens to them. An unhappy customer feels that your product failed to meet their expectations. A demanding customer thinks highly of them and wants you to treat them differently. When faced with an angry customer, avoid the (natural) tendency to justify your position. Instead, understand that they're merely feeling undervalued and attempting to control the situation. Dealing with angry customers can be difficult but angry, demanding, or hard to please customers are beneficial to your company’s success by providing opportunities to improve your business. try these simple tricks I'm sharing and it will sound simpler than you think! Many customers want to be heard and for their problems to be understood. By actively listening to a customer’s concerns, you can see an alternative point of view on how your business can improve a product or service and help to improve the structure of your business. No company is exempt from having difficult customers, but allowing your customers to be heard and understood can increase brand loyalty, product or services, and conflict resolution training skills. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/sarika-singh88/message

Three exercises to speak like 'BUTTER'!
Do you admire those speakers on the stage who speak super smooth and yet look so comfortable? Do you say- "Wow! I wish I could be like them!" But in reality, you dread speaking to an audience! No need to answer that because nearly half of your audience doesn't want to be in your shoes because they have public speaking anxiety, too. There’s something about public speaking that’s both exciting…and super scary. On the one hand, when you speak to public, you connect with a lot of new people. It’s a fantastic way to network, to meet new client, new business partner, or just make friends. On the contrary, standing up in front of hundreds of people is  super scary. For most of us, public speaking is something we actively avoid at all costs.  Standing in front of people, imagining how you’re looking, what they are thinking of you, trying to remember what’s on the slide behind you, wondering if you’re boring the entire audience – there’re too many reasons why public speaking is a common nightmare. But that said, great speakers aren’t born that way — they work at getting better. Its like riding a bicycle, the more you practice public speaking, the better.  But how can you finally become the confident, charismatic public speaker you’ve always wanted to be?  Let me share three very practical, very easy, exercises which can help you become a smooth talker, a good speaker, and an effective communicator! How to NOT take things personally!

How to NOT take things personally!
Are you always blaming yourself when other people don’t treat you well? Are you sensitive to what others think of you? Do you get emotional and defensive to any form of criticism? These can be signs that you take things too personally, which can take a huge mental and emotional toll on you. If you tend to take things personally when they are not personal, it is because something has hit a nerve. I used to get very upset when my best friend didn’t return my call. Even though I didn’t have important things to talk about, I couldn’t help but get hurt. Rather than trying to see what’s really happening with her, I’d jump to the conclusion that she just didn’t care. Unnecessary drama followed! In this episode, I’m sharing my mantra. I’m sharing my heart out and offering tips on toI reframe your reactions and how to overcome this terrible, emotionally draining habit that hurts us more than a few times. I needed to break some communication barriers within myself to become the version of me now! Not taking things personally gives you more control over how you respond, your emotions, and your energy level. So hear this episode and learn to build healthy defense mechanisms, such as setting boundaries and practicing pausing techniques. Mom, Dad & the unsent loveletters............
Apr 23 2023
Mom, Dad & the unsent loveletters............
In our busy lives, we may speak to people, but don’t have time to communicate. Because communication starts with 'listening'. Then when our loved ones are gone, we live with regrets- regrets of not communicating with them……regrets of not being there to listen to them, to care for them, to tell them how much we love them….and to tell them that we know how much they love us. Did you tell your mom dad yet? What will happen if you tell them today---- can’t you already imagine that smile? Which unexpressed feeling is lying unsaid, unspoken, uncommunicated? Communicate it now…..in words….and in spirit….. Remember, if your dad or your mom is still here, you’re a blessed soul!….. Don’t miss this chance. Communicate with them….right now! In my podcast, I share easy, practical, tried and tested approaches and will make you a better communicator, for sure! This podcast is about building communications & making you an efficient communicator! How & when to say that NO!
Feb 9 2023
How & when to say that NO!
Have YOU ever said YES when you want to say NO? Did you said that YES out of obligation or to meet someone’s expectation, or just because you were shy to say a NO? And then…. Then what happened? You regretted saying that YES Your heart cried why you didn’t say NO You wanted to say- NO, NEVER, NOT AT ALL ……………………….and all you said was- YES, SURE, OF COURSE! We avoid saying ‘No’ because we have been conditioned to believe we can’t, and we shouldn’t. When we keep saying YES to everything we want to say NO, we soon start to pour from empty cups. ‘YES’ steals years of your life. You never get them back. ‘NO’ adds years, and adds life to those years! Some No’s do you real good. ‘No’, if you ask me, is a complete sentence. You don’t need to support it with a justification, evidence, a reason, or anything else. You can say NO politely. Instead of saying a blunt NO, you can say begin by saying something positive before declining. “Thank you for thinking of me. But, I’ll need to take a rain check this time.” Instead of- No, I can’t come. Or you can say- “I’m honoured. Unfortunately, I’ll pass it this time.” Or “Thanks, but let’s make it another day.” But saying NO at the wrong time, or place, or to the wrong person can also mean a loss! If you say NO to trying new foods, you may not discover new favourite dishes… If you say NO to social invitations, you may not build a network or relationships So, say NO to toxic people But say YES to the ‘learning’ Say NO to regrets, But say YES to the lessons from saying a NO! In this episode, I share tips & tricks on how and when to say a NO. The techniques, tips & tricks I share are easy, practical, tried and tested and will make you a better communicator, for sure! This podcast is about building communications & making you an efficient communicator!
