In this episode Regina interviews one of the founders of Zack and Zoe Sweet Bee Farm, Summer Johnson. Summer Johnson is the co-owner of Zach and Zoë Sweet Bee Farm and started the business in 2015 with her husband, Kam. She holds a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Howard University and helps support the creative strategy of the business. Together, she and Kam began keeping bees in their backyard to use the hyper-local honey to alleviate their son's allergies. Today, their honey is retailed all over the world, and in dozens of specialty, mass, and boutique stores across the nation. They have expanded the brand's assortment to 20+ organic superfoods flavors blended with their raw honey and have plans to continue growing. When she's not plotting on the next best-selling flavor, you will find Summer with her and Kam’s three children, Zach, Zoë and now 2 year old Zuri, or working on her mixed media art.
