This week we jump from period drama to post war pulp fiction as we dive into the 1997 sci flick Starship troopers by Paul Verhoeven and written by Edward Neumeier, based on Robert A. Heinlein's 1959 novel of the same name.
Having spawned several sequels, a TV show and being a cult phenomena among nineties youth and modern day millennial it has earned its place as one of the most unique films of it's time.
So we dive into just what made this what it was, why it failed to capture audiences on release and why it so hugely differs from the source material. It's bloody, it's violent there is just enough nipple in it to get banned from social media so whats not to love?
