CODE SWITCHING is a socialized function that triggers a person to switch from their foundational personality and behavior into a way of acting that is convenient for someone else. It is important to be aware of as it is driven mainly by shame.
It is often seen in dynamics where people who associate as any race other than White, switch their behavior to make things convenient for the comfort of people who are White.
This can and WILL show up in psychedelic circumstances when people are being guided by practitioners who are of different racial and ethnic backgrounds.
Knowing how to see this and how to navigate it is important.
