In this episode, host Holly Cotton and Eddie Kennison III talk college sports. Eddie was a first round NFL draft pick, playing for the Kansas City Chiefs. Eddie shares his expertise of the process of getting drafted as well as how he mentors young athletes to improve their chances of playing professionally. They talk about the sacrifices made to play professional sports, regimens, etc. They also talk advice for parents and what they need to be doing in adolescence to get more visibility for their child as well as what not to do. Of course there are a ton of laughs along with this informative discussion!

Eddie was drafted in the first round by the St. Louis Rams, 18th pick overall. He has played with the Nw Orleans Saints, Chicago Bears and finally found his home with the Kansas City Chiefs.  He officially retired after a 13-year NFL career in 2010.

Eddie was inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall Of Fame 2015,  Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame 2017, and the Independence Hall of Honor 2003. He was the Director of Player Development for LSU football from 2019-2022 and Is currently the Senior Account Executive for LSU Sports Properties.
