The San Francisco Giants are free-falling in the final month of the season, as they fall again tonight to the Arizona Diamondbacks, final score 6-4. Zac Gallen carried a no-hitter through six innings tonight but exited before the seventh with his pitch count at 100. Once the San Francisco Giants got into the Arizona Diamondbacks bullpen they were able to do some damage, but again it was too little, too late. Hayden Birdsong got the start and continued his troubling trend of inefficient starts. Today, he only lasted three innings before his pitch count ran upwards of 70 and he was pulled from the game. The San Francisco Giants have yet to win a game in the month of September.
