You may notice that I always say team, or team member. In fact, you will never hear me saying things like “we’re a family’” or “we’re just like family” – because, we’re not.
While I know what people are getting at when they say things like this – but it’s really doing more harm than you think. You’re setting up expectations that aren’t appropriate for a business, and even pulling your leadership up short.
In this week’s episode we’ll talk more about why it’s so important to say (and more importantly to THINK of your folks) as a team – instead of family.
