As Christians how do we deal with the topic of reparations?

Defining reparations

Reparations is essentially a way of making amends or wronging an egregious right that resulted in one party becoming disadvantaged or harmed.

Points of discussion

• The idea of forcing those who've had nothing to do with previous injustices such as slavery to have to pay for what their ancestors did is wrong and not biblical.
• A proper biblical response concerning justice is to hold offenders accountable for their injustices carried out towards another party.
• Should the government and subsequent states work towards equalizing the disadvantages it they from?
