In this episode of The Social Care Podcast, Audrey & Baggie chat with Sherin Hughes about the origins of the Sister Shed movement in Co. Dublin. Sherin shares her incredibly raw and personal story of grief following the sudden death of her mother, community activist Dympna Hughes and her subsequent healing only to be thrust into the depths of Covid isolation. Sherin and her cousin Rachel Hughes created the Sister Sheds out of a desire for connection with their communities and to help other women in need of support. This is a story of community and hope and it is evident that the Sister Sheds is the start of an incredible story of community renewal.
