Hardeep Singh Puri is an Indian politician, former diplomat, and author, currently a Rajya Sabha MP and the Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs & Petroleum and Natural Gas. He is a 1974 batch Indian Foreign Service officer who served as the Permanent Representative of India to the United Nations from 2009 to 2013. His former portfolios in the Government of India include Civil Aviation Minister (I/C) and MoS for Commerce and Industry.
