She recalls her childhood experiences listening to Destiny's Child and how seeing Beyonce in concert for the first time inspired her as a young black girl to chase her dreams. [00:02:57] You were an anchor, reporter, producer of the 60th anniversary of the Desegregation of UGA documentary. And that is when you realized that you had to be a journalist. After graduating, you got a job in advertising and quit and moved to Pensacola. [00:04:58] The documentary was all about the process of Charlene Hunter Gault and Hamilton Homes, who were the first two black students to ever go to UGA. I just knew that whenever I saw it on screen, that I had to be a storyteller. [00:06:29] "I love it. I'm loving being by the beach, and of course, I grew up on the coast in Kingsland. Nothing beats the Gulf Coast. The water is just immaculate. The people here in Northwest Florida have been really kind to me " [00:07:50] What is one of your favorite things about the Gulf Coast so far? The seafood is fantastic. How much love and support there are for our veterans. The fact that this is the home of the Blue Angels, that was an experience for me. [00:08:40] We're here to talk about Queen Bee herself, period. Music has always been a big part of Reagan's life. What is it about Beyonce for you? What is the draw? [00:13:14] One of my earliest memories of Beyonce was being at my grandfather's house in St. Marlow. How many people have memories connected to Beyonce? Fungs. She is able to transcend space, time, race, culture, music, genre. It's the work ethic that makes Beyonce other human. There is a very select few of people that can do both immense talent and immense professionalism. [00:23:39] When you were 13 and you saw her for the first time in concert. It was an out of body experience. Representation matters so much and it's easy. It's to have someone say you saw a black woman again, top ten most powerful person on the planet, period. [00:29:51] Beyonce has pretty much always been private. There is a negative side to the fandom. What does the future look like for Beyonce? I want her to go on another tour.
