Now that we have had the time to do "the thing" of goals and resolutions - either set them and break them OR avoid them all together.
The New Year, New You concept can be used for good, but more often than not we use it to shame ourselves.
Let's do things differently.
It's all made up anyway.
Let's do 2023 more in flow, in sync and more aligned with ourselves and what vision we have for ourselves and our lives.
There are 3 steps:
1. Decide what you want.
What you really really want. What do you want your life to look like? what is important and valuable to you - not things... more like truth, love, trust, adventure, fun, connection, safety. Why are those things important to you. What do you want MORE of in your life.
These will be your guideposts. To measure up opportunities and things that come up in your life. You will be able to decide if that is in alignment with you, your values and priorities and vision.
2. Take a cue from nature.
In the US, it's winter. Things have died off or gone dormant.
This is the time for you to clean out anything that is not useful or helpful or aligned with who you are and who you want to be.
This can be physical, mental or emotional things.
Also, understand that you are human and that you also have cycles. High and low energy/focus. Allow and plan for that. You are not a robot.
Understand also, how you best funtion and operate. What do you need to support yourself? more sleep? more quiet time? More connection?
Be your own advocate, speak up for what you want and need that is useful and helpful.
3. Choose a word for the year.
This will be your mantra, your recalibration, reminder of where you chose to put your focus this year.
