On February 9, 2004, Murray took an unprompted trip away from her college campus. She emailed her professors to let them know she’d be out for a week. On route to Vermont she crashed her car. A bus driver stopped to help, but Maura declined. He continued down the road to call for help, but by the time police arrived on the scene, Maura was gone. She has never been seen again.
