Apple is finally opening Apple Stores in India. The first Apple Store in India, dubbed Apple BKC, is scheduled to open on April 18 in Mumbai. Apple has also announced that it'll be opening a second store in Saket, New Delhi, on April 20.
Executive editor Jamshed Avari and senior reviewer Sheldon Pinto join Orbital host Pranav Hegde to discuss the Apple Store opening in India and what it means to the consumers.
The first Apple Store is opening in Mumbai at the Jio World Drive mall in Bandra Kurla Complex. The store is simply called Apple BKC, and is clad in barricades that are inspired by the art seen on the famous Kali-peeli taxis of Mumbai. The second store, Apple Saket, is opening in Saket, New Delhi, and this one has barricades that showcase the various historial gates in Delhi.
There's a lot of hype behind the opening of the first Apple Stores in India? Why is that so? And what can you expect from the official stores that you may not find in other retail stores. We discuss this and more on the latest episode of Orbital, the Gadgets 360 podcast.
