God With Us

2 In those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. 2 This was the first registration when Quirinius was governor of Syria. 3 And all went to be registered, each to his own town. 4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the town of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, 5 to be registered with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child. 6 And while they were there, the time came for her to give birth. 7 And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn. —Luke 2:1-7And all who heard it wondered at what the shepherds told them. 19 But Mary treasured up all these things, pondering them in her heart. —Luke 2:18-19

“There is no greater mountaintop experience in my life than giving birth to my children. I remember everything about the births of my children. Every little detail. I know there was pain involved, I just don’t remember the pain because the joy of the moment far outweighed the pain. There is no greater mountaintop experience than giving birth to your children.” - LifeSpringer

On The Mountaintop

1) We should treasure up those experiences

2) Remember where our treasure is

11 For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.” —Luke 14:10-1117 As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. 18 They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, 19 thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life. —1 Titus 6:17-19When pride comes, then comes disgrace,
but with the humble is wisdom. —Proverbs 11:218 Pride goes before destruction,
and a haughty spirit before a fall. —Proverbs 16:1816 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight. —Romans 12:1628 God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, 29 so that no human being might boast in the presence of God. —1 Corinthians 1:28-299 Let the lowly brother boast in his exaltation, 10 and the rich in his humiliation, because like a flower of the grass he will pass away. 11 For the sun rises with its scorching heat and withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beauty perishes. So also will the rich man fade away in the midst of his pursuits. —James 1:9-11

On The Mountaintop
