One does not receive all of the work of the Spirit when saved. The initial work is the cleansing from all sin and you're given new heart. Jesus speaks of the next work of the Spirit in Acts 1:4-5 as being Baptized in the Spirit or being filled with the Spirit. The purpose of this work is to empower you for service.
