When birthmother Barbara found herself pregnant, she gave her daughter Vicky up for adoption and tried to forget it ever happened.

Despite having loving adoptive parents, Vicky struggled to bury the shame and rejection she felt as an adoptee; she was not good enough for her first mother’s love.
