Mental health, once a taboo topic rarely talked about in the open, is quickly becoming one of the biggest discussions of our time. The past decade has brought about a more open, less stigmatized dialogue and we are seeing a paradigm shift in public attitudes surrounding mental health in general. Thanks to people like Ellen Vora, MD, those discussions are getting a lot more helpful as well. She wrote the bible on anxiety, “The Anatomy of Anxiety: Understanding and Overcoming the Body’s Fear Response,” and her approach is – by my estimation – exactly what many of us need.
