CBC “pausing” Twitter use after Twitter outs them as “government-funded media”

Canada’s state broadcaster, CBC, is pausing its use of Twitter just one day after Twitter slapped a “government-funded media” label on its main account. CBC has condemned the label and asserted its “independence” as a broadcaster. Justin Trudeau has accused Pierre Poilievre of cozying up with “American billionaires” and attacking the media. Also, antisemitism was on full display at the Al-Quds Day in Toronto on the weekend.
