Mob Town with Larry Henry

Gangland Wire

23-12-2019 • 0 seconds

Retired police Intelligence Unit detective Gary Jenkins interviews Mob Museum blogger Larry Henry about his special pre-screening of the newest mob film, Mob Town. Larry reports this film has many comedic moments. The film’s director and writers tell the story of how a New York State Trooper, Edgar Croswell, discovered a meeting of mob chieftains from every major American city on Nov. 14, 1957. This film has some star power with David Arquette starring as Sergeant Edgar Croswell,  Danny A. Abeckaser as Joseph Barbera, Sopranos Meadow Soprano, Jamie-Lynn Sigler starring as the wife of the host, Josephine Barbera and Gino Cafarelli who played Mayor Frank Rizzo on The Irishman, as Carmine Galente.  A couple of great casting decisions were when the Director tapped the man who played the opera singing bad guy in the Goonies, Robert Davi as Vito Genovese and a Garry Pastore as Albert Anastasia. Pastore has been in many action films and he plays Matty the Horse Ianniello in the Duece. After that, we discuss my most recent mob documentary, Brothers against Brothers: The Civella Spero War.   To go to the store or make a donation click here To rent Gangland Wire, the documentary, click here To subscribe on iTunes click here, please give me a review and help others find the podcast.
