Long ago, it was called Daag-e-Shahi, which means 'a royal stain,' because Mughal rulers sent criminals there for punishment. Over time, it became Dagshai, and the British turned it into a military base. With its ancient history and mysterious reputation, Dagshai is a special place to explore in Himachal Pradesh.
