This passion project started with an idea to create a regular series where I could showcase the enormous variety of music in the harder styles, to bridge the gap between scenes, and eventually to showcase phenomenal talent in the form of guest mixes. It was always the intention to push new sounds and expose new perspectives on the hard dance music family of genres. All of this year's guests will be carefully selected in line with the Morph Harder vision and ethos. So for this first guest slot of 2024 I am proud to present to you one of Japan's top production talents, the hugely versatile and unmistakable DJ Shimamura. Bringing the happy hardcore sound to the table in all it's guises taking influences from across it's rich history, Shimamura's style not only honors the past but brings in the future, a bright future at that.
