Lead prosecutor: Alex Murdaugh believed he could convince the jury of his lies

Alex Murdaugh was sentenced to life in prison for the murders of his wife, Maggie Murdaugh, and his son Paul Murdaugh. The once-prominent South Carolina attorney reiterated his innocence and told the judge he “would never hurt” his wife and son.
