I found this old piece this morning and it provides a few important reminders. Even before social media, cancel culture, and this whole mess, we’ve always had people come and go in our lives. Most do, actually. We grow together, and often we grow apart.

Very few are “lifetime” connections, and most are “reason” or “season” connections. It hurts sometimes when we learn that someone who we believed was the former end up being the latter.
