When it comes to leaders in our First Nations community, Shantelle Thompson is a well known figure. Shantelle is known as the Barkindji Warrior in her community and driving force behind the Warrior Heart movement. Warrior heart is to stand in your power, be your truth and follow your heart.

She labels herself as a life weaver, weaving together life, culture, motherhood, identity, being an athlete, storyteller, Indigiepreneur (First Nations Entrepreneur), founder, advocate for Sharing your story, Indigenous Knowledge and Culture, Wellbeing, Leadership and self development.

Shantelle is a Mumma of five jarjums, 3-time world Jiu Jitsu champion and founder of Kiilalaana Foundation, a not-for-profit supporting, empowering and growing First Nations women and girls in the Mallee Region.

In this episode your host Dixie Crawford yarns openly with Shantelle about vulnerability, being courageous in your leadership, the benefits of collective leadership and leading from the heart, and there’s also a powerful discussion around black cladding.
