Anish Verma is a leader driven to make an impact through Quantum Computing, and by empowering students across Canada with the power of Data Science and technology, in an equitable way. As STEM Fellowship's interim CEO, he oversees the national charity's programs, providing equitable opportunities for students to conduct research, publish their work in peer-reviewed journals, and learn beyond standard curricula. Anish formerly served as the Chief Data Officer, where he lead and grew the Big Data Challenge – an experiential learning program that allows students to learn data science and solve pressing issues through applied research solutions. In addition to this, Anish is a Quantitative Analyst and Quantum Researcher at 1QBit – a leading Quantum Computing and Artificial Intelligence company. Here, he works on applying quantum algorithms to solve financial problems in novel ways, and founded an Academic Collaboration program, allowing researchers to access and explore quantum computing for their research.
