Death, acceptance and letting go.
In episode two of Very Vedic, Matt and Anna explore the concept of deletion, and the uncomfortability that comes with letting go of old ideas, emotions and beliefs.Anna is meditating, so why does she feel anxious?Matt uses Vedic wisdom to explain that what she is experiencing is a resistance to the feeling of discomfort that comes with death — or deletion — of that which is longer relevant to her. And that it’s actually an opportunity to heal undigested and unprocessed emotions. He explains that meditation is the vehicle that drives out that which is no longer relevant to her personal evolution, and the evolution of all things. This episode is a lesson in acceptance. We learn that when we’re practicing acceptance, we’re actually accessing a higher state of consciousness.Matt shares with Anna that when she makes something wrong — a feeling, a situation or an experience — she’s actually amplifying the very feeling she’s trying to resist feeling. In other words: we suffer in exact proportion to the amount we resist. He gives her practical advice on what to try instead. If you’re keen to learn how to meditate, or you have a question you’d like answered, DM Matt on Instagram @bondimeditation, or email info@bondimeditation.com.au.Thanks for listening and if you like what you hear, please leave Very Vedic a review!Jai Guru Deva.Very Vedic is produced by Studio Offline, technical production by Pod Paste, original music by Al Royale.Learn to meditate with Matt www.bondimeditation.com.au

Why spirituality shouldn't be serious, addictions & the spiritual approach to increasing self-discipline.
In episode three of Very Vedic, Matt's student Anna shares a recurring feeling of nostalgia she has for her teenage years, and identifies it’s because she had little to no responsibilities. Everything felt fun.Spirituality can feel serious and in some practices, demand a rigid sense of responsibility from us, so Anna asks Matt where fun sits in the Vedic worldview. He shares that for some of us, we can unintentionally pass judgement on other people’s unsustainable life choices when we first embark on our spiritual path — our inner world is beautiful but the outer world seems ignorant. He explains this is sometimes referred to as cosmic consciousness blues, and it’s actually a hijacking of spiritual advancement by the mistaken intellect because inherent in the deepest of all spiritual teachings, is play.Matt and Anna also discuss the Vedic view on death and grief, explore discipline and addiction, and how doing a sacred practice of sacrifice called tapas can increase our state of consciousness.
