We discuss not only how unaddressed trauma in childhood contributes to that tendency, but also many aspects of being in cults and the mental gymnastics often involved in staying within them. We do all this in non-judgement, understanding that we can all grow from such experiences and ultimately heal the childhood wound that needs to feel loved and validated.
