$10K Months as a Virtual Assistant With Shannon South
These are two major myths that are often talked about in the entrepreneurial world:Marketing = social mediaYou have to be on social media to get clients. Listen… I’m a huge proponent of social media. For all the flaws, it gives us access to SO MANY connections with new people, for free. Yep, it takes work. But it’s also such an advantage for beginning business owners. And while I’m usually giving you tips on how to connect with people on social media - today I want to introduce you to a whole other world of possibilities… growing a business without using it. On today’s episode of The Simple Online Business Podcast I'm chatting with my client Shannon, who recently had her first 10k month without building an audience on social media, about her inspiring journey of embracing change and discovering the freedom entrepreneurship brings. We talk about how she got started, the obstacles she’s overcome and the power of coaching and community in business growth.YOU’LL LEARN:How effectively communicating with teams and clients about workload and availability can positively impact a business's growth and successWhy setting boundaries and seeking support are important pillars of business success. Why building a strong team and creating a supportive work environment is the key to sustained growthLearn more about Shannon:Shannon is the CEO of Lifetime Stress Relief, a virtual assistance & online business management company that specializes in email & calendar management, preventing overwhelm and burnout, and developing systems to save time. Yes, we research refrigerators and check emails, but we also save time for life on our clients' calendars, act as a gatekeeper between customers, and remember the special dates in our clients' lives. The Coaching That Ended A Client Drought
Last fall, I had a coaching conversation with my client, Brittany. She had been trying to consistently sign coaching clients for a couple years, but it just wasn’t working. She had an offer, a website, decent social media engagement… and yet it just wasn’t turning into paying clients. Almost immediately on our conversation, I realized the issue. I told her what I saw, and what to do differently. She implemented this advice and started signing lots of clients right away. She’s been consistently signing clients ever since. What I found interesting is that she mentioned to me that she had thought about working with me a couple years before but didn’t - and wished she didn’t wait. On today’s episode, I have Brittany on to talk about our conversation, the advice I gave her, and the decision to invest in coaching with me. This episode is a fun look into what it’s actually like to be my client. This podcast episode will be super inspiring for any business owner. YOU’LL LEARN:How to transition from a brick-and-mortar business to the online spaceWhy people struggle with finding the right offer and marketing services and how to fix thisHow to be successful in signing clients and managing a growing businessThe importance of belief and confidence in your businessLearn About Brittany:Brittany Hagemann is a licensed CA Esthetician turned Esthetician Business Coach. After opening her acne business in San Diego in 2017, she grew it to a six figure business in under two years. Success/Fail Binary

Success/Fail Binary
Have you ever posted a piece of content and if it doesn't immediately bring in a new client or go viral, you label it a failure? In the entrepreneurial world, it's easy to get caught up in the success-fail binary. This is the idea that every action you take is either a resounding success or a complete failure. I see this happen all the time, especially when it comes to social media marketing. This kind of thinking is not only demoralizing but can also lead to a dangerous cycle of discouragement.Expecting instant results from a single action is a misconception that many business owners give in to. The truth is, success in business is rarely about one-off actions; it's about the cumulative effect of consistently providing value to your audience.Today on the Simple Online Business podcast, I’m talking about this false binary, what’s wrong with it, why we think this way – and most importantly, how to shift your thinking in a way that will fuel you to keep showing up and NOT get discouraged when something you try doesn’t work the way you wanted it to.YOU’LL LEARN:How to view the concept of success in your business effortsThe importance of trusting the process and remaining committed to providing value, even when immediate results aren't achievedHow to break free from the success-fail binary in businessWhy it’s imperative to analyze indicators of business success, such as engagement, sharing, and gratitude, as signs of value and potential client acquisition.Let’s Connect! Coaching Industry
Last month, I hosted an event specifically for coaches to talk through the challenges and changes in the industry, the outlook for 2024, and how to grow your coaching business in 2024. One of the core messages from the event was the undeniable shift towards relational marketing. In the digital age, it's no longer just about broadcasting your message—it's about creating meaningful connections. As coaches, we must lean into building authentic relationships with our audience. The response was incredible. So many people who came live said that it is exactly what they needed, it calmed them down and made them feel positive about being a coach again… and everyone said that they 100% would need to relisten to it when they were feeling down.Because of this.. I wanted to release it in an easy to consume audio format so you can return to it anytime you need a loving coach slap to help you get inspired about your work. The coaching landscape is changing, but with change comes opportunity.YOU’LL LEARN:Why believing in what you're doing, and then showing up into the world with that belief is considered to be compelling marketingIndustry trends and marketing strategies for 2024The importance of relational marketing and building genuine relationships with clientsHow coaches can adapt to the evolving landscape of the coaching industry to stay relevant and provide optimal support for their clients Let’s Connect! How To Achieve Big Goals

How To Achieve Big Goals
I recently flipped through some old journals from prior times in my business - the one that really caught my attention was a month where I was going after a BIG goal that honestly felt impossible. It was fascinating to look back knowing that I had achieved the goal that month despite having zero belief that I would at the start. Sometimes, our biggest goals can seem delusional. But here's the thing: you need to believe in the possibility of achieving them before anyone else will.Today on the podcast, I’m talking about what it takes to achieve big goals - the importance of mindset and belief - and giving some inspiration to all of you who have set big goals for 2024. YOU’LL LEARN:Why the importance of daily mindset and intentional belief is crucial in achieving your goalsHow the impact of consistency in building trust and credibility with clients leads to salesWhy it’s important to embrace your 'delusional' dreamsThe significance of simplicity and consistency when taking action to achieve your goalsWhy leaning into a simple and realistic business plan is better than a complicated one every single timeWhy it's not about being perfect; it's about being present and delivering value regularlyLet’s Connect!
