Jack Eichel scored a hat trick Sunday to lead the Golden Knights past Columbus 7-2. The VGK offense erupted for five straight goals, including four in the second period, in the romp. Alex Pietrangelo had a career-best four assists for VGK. And, goalie Jiri Patera stopped 35 shots in the win. VGK scored twice on the power play in the contest break a 1 for 27 power play skid on home ice. The Golden Knights also faced former teammate goalie Michael Hutchinson, who came on in relief for CBJ. Bruce Cassidy said that Logan Thompson and Laurent Brossoit will travel with the team on the three-game Western Canadian trip. He said he doesn't know what the rotation will look like however.
