Bruce Cassidy said neither Logan Thompson or Reilly Smith will be available for Saturday's game in Edmonton after sustaining injuries in the 3-2 win over Calgary Thursday night. Thompson played his first game in the crease since February 9 and made 37 saves in the victory before leaving the contest abruptly with about 6 minutes remaining in the game. Jonathan Quick came on in relief to secure the win. Both players sustained lower body injuries and VGK is concerned about their status moving forward. VGK is on fire over the past 21 games with a 16-3-2 record. Cassidy said the Golden Knights played very well with a good checking game against the Flames and VGK didn't allow any breakaways or odd-man rushes. Nich Roy returned after missing 18 games and scored a goal. He was on the third line in Thursday's game. VGK now travels to Edmonton for Saturday's game against McDavid and the Oilers.
