Episode 5 - Good for You
Episode Notes Life is like going to the supermarket. We have a myriad of choices. There is a right way and a wrong way to do everything. And the wrong way is to do things someone else way or making decisions without all the facts. "Good For You" applies to funeral planning. Make decisions based on what is important to you/your family and have clear pricing information so you can make informed decisions without any surprises. Your legal right under the Federal Trade Commission's "Funeral Rule" is for each funeral provider to share their price list with you. The FTC "Funeral Rule" gives you the right to get itemized price lists that let you compare prices among different funeral providers. Funeral Providers must share their pricing information in writing; if you call and ask for price information, they have to tell you. There are benefits in each state for people who have a financial need. Each state is different, but if you were making funeral arrangements for someone, check with your state to see the benefits available for your loved one. Live life. You have limitless lifetime possibilities, options, and choices. You want to be clear and specific about your wishes and options is knowing and understanding what is available. Thanks for listening.
