The prostate gland is in the urinary track in men. Prostate cancer is very similar to the number of people being diagnosed as breast cancer it is just not talked about as much. Men should start getting checked at between 50-55, if there is a family history they should be getting checked sooner. The Blue Shoe Run is is a family friendly 5k walk/run coming up on September 9th through the Urology Center of Colorado. The money raised goes to American Cancer society for research for prostate cancer. There is about 300,000 diagnosed a year with prostate cancer and about 35,000 will pass away.
