Australia was one of the first countries to launch a satellite from its territory. It has been a part of the space race since the days of the Cold War by hosting tracking stations which are essential for space missions. But Australia never ended up with a space programme and did not develop indigenous space capabilities. But this is all set to change. In this episode, Aditya Ramanathan and Pranav Satyanath host the Head of the Australian Space Agency, Enrico Palermo, to learn about Australia's space ambitions and the growth of its space industry.
