Drugs & (De)criminalization: The Brittney Griner Case - Ft. Dilaye
Hi all!
This week I had the pleasure of being joined by my good friend @/dxlxyz on IG as we discussed the Brittney Griner sentencing and what this means in the context of drugs/ drug use, (de)criminalization and more.
This is a heavy topic and I do hope that myself and my guest handled it with care. The history of drug criminalization in North America continue to disproportionately impact Black/ POC people and though Britney Griner was charged in Russia, it does not mean that countries such as Canada and the USA are exempt from harsh penalization when it comes to drug use.
I hope this episode broadens some of your ideas surrounding this topic and you approach it with open mindness.
Thank you.
