High School Graduate at 13....young entrepreneur Caden Harris talks starting his first business at seven, his finance "bus", and financial literacy for youth.
In this episode, host Holly Cotton and teen prodigy, Caden Harris, talk about his entrepreneurial journey. Caden shares his story of being a high school graduate at the young age of 13 years of age. Caden shares some of the obstacles he has overcome to become a business owner, how his family and friends handle his gift, and of course the advice he shares when he speaks at events to inspire adults and youth. Caden's supportive parents nurtured his natural gifts and helped him launch his first business at 7 years old. They encouraged him to write his first book at 8 and recently supported his dream of buying a 54 passenger bus. By 12, Caden had developed an exclusive insight towards financial literacy, created products to help teach kids financial literacy and achieved his goal of purchasing his first vehicle at only 10 years old. Caden converted his bus into a mobile financial learning center. He has been on the road visiting school with his bus and mission of teaching 500,000 kids about financial literacy. His business has been featured on Fox 5, NBC, Black Enterprise and several other publications. From college ball to the NFL... Eddie Kennison III talks surviving life as a professional athlete, advice to college students and parents, and how he found his purpose
In this episode, host Holly Cotton and Eddie Kennison III talk college sports. Eddie was a first round NFL draft pick, playing for the Kansas City Chiefs. Eddie shares his expertise of the process of getting drafted as well as how he mentors young athletes to improve their chances of playing professionally. They talk about the sacrifices made to play professional sports, regimens, etc. They also talk advice for parents and what they need to be doing in adolescence to get more visibility for their child as well as what not to do. Of course there are a ton of laughs along with this informative discussion! Eddie was drafted in the first round by the St. Louis Rams, 18th pick overall. He has played with the Nw Orleans Saints, Chicago Bears and finally found his home with the Kansas City Chiefs.  He officially retired after a 13-year NFL career in 2010.    Eddie was inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall Of Fame 2015,  Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame 2017, and the Independence Hall of Honor 2003. He was the Director of Player Development for LSU football from 2019-2022 and Is currently the Senior Account Executive for LSU Sports Properties.
