The Bumpy Road To Healing

Leena Weaver & Traci Glover

Hello, we are Leena & Traci from Healing Children LLC! We are both educators and mental health professionals, which gives us a unique perspective on working with children both in and out of the school setting who have severe emotional and behavioral concerns. Our mission is for all children to be emotionally healthy, happy, mature, and responsible. We believe as adults establish healthy relationships and appropriate boundaries, children are more likely to grow and prosper. When adults understand the impact of trauma, entitlement, disruptive attachment, and child development (including conscience development), they can better create healing environments for children. read less

Is It Reasonable For Educators To Expect Compliance From Their Students?
Many good educators are leaving the profession due to not feeling safe or supported. In Episode 9 of The Bumpy Road to Healing, Traci and Leena discuss the importance of Healthy Compliance and its role in conscience development for children. When educators have expectations for their students, such as following adult directions, not bothering their peers, completing assignments., etc., it is reasonable to expect compliance. Healthy compliance not only helps children mature, but it also provides safety for all students and staff in a school building. You can also watch us on our youtube channel. To learn more, read our blog or take a live course  or an on demand course or purchase our book “Healing Discipline: Bringing Hope to Shattered Lives, A Guide for Educators.”  We are also happy to discuss any questions or concerns you might have via phone or email.
