Fritz Coleman, 5-time Emmy Award-Winning Stand-Up Comedian & Former Weathercaster, NBC4LA
Most of us in LA know Fritz Coleman as the former weathercaster from NBC4 Los Angeles, giving us the sunny forecast of seven sun-balls for the week ahead. But did you know this five-time Emmy winner started out as a comic, got his first stint in weather by chance, was on the Tonight Show eight times, and has opened for legends like Ray Charles, George Benson, Jay Leno, and Debbie Reynolds? And now, he’s starring in his own one-man show, “Unassisted Living,” available on Tubi and playing at the infamous Portal Theater in North Hollywood. And it’s hilarious! The show is a friendly look at retirement, baby-boom style, and talks about everything from back pain to sex. Fritz talks about his own life, from childhood to divorce and everything in between. It’s funny, clever, and it left me wanting more from Fritz, to learn about the man behind the happy weather talk. And there’s a lot. He’s a student of comedy, and grew up watching and learning from the greats. And when his uncle took him to a George Carlin concert when he was a kid, Fritz met his first love - comedy. Please join me in welcoming Fritz Coleman to our show, streaming LIVE on YouTube, Facebook, and all audio platforms. I’m your host, #DeborahZaraKobylt, and it’s my pleasure to have you join us on #DeborahKobyltLIVE. Have a question for Fritz? DM us or leave your comments here. We look forward to it. @realfritzcoleman #FritzColeman #standup #standupcomedy #UnassistedLiving #FritzColemanComedy #ComedyShow @ubngo

Scott Ryan, Author, Designer, Publisher
Publisher and author Scott Ryan is like Google when it comes to TV and film. He knows the genres intimately, and has written niche books about everything from Letterman to Streisand. Today, he joins us to discuss his latest book, “The Last Days Of Cinema,” which is a brilliant look at cinema in the 90’s and the impact those films had on pop culture at the time and in retrospect, today. Scott selected twenty-five films to for his book from thousands made in the 1990’s, from Goodfellas to Magnolia and so many others classics, and he was very strategic in his selection. He’s analyzed how films of the 90s shaped our culture, which was the last decade before social media took over and influenced millions. Having just returned from the #VeniceFilmFestival, I saw some magnificent films, but I’ll admit there’s a difference between films today and 30 years ago. I’ll ask him about that, perhaps it’s because of streaming, with less people collectively going to the movies? Scott has written many books including “Last Days of Letterman,” “Barbra Streisand The Music,” “Moonlighting,” and others that capture a moment in our culture that we all shared. Now, it’s different, not better or worse, but just different. And it’s not going back. Scott is also a publisher and founded Fayetteville Mafia Press, a boutique publishing company. He admits he’s “living his dream” through his work, and where he lives in Sarasota, Florida, which I also call home (part time). There’s a lot to talk about. Please join me on all video and audio platforms of #DeborahKobyltLIVE and @TheSarasotaPodcast. I’m your host, #DeborahZaraKobylt, and it’s my pleasure to welcome you here. Have a question for Scott? Joshua M. Greene, Author, filmmaker, educator and Holocaust scholar.
I’m thrilled to welcome to our show, Joshua M. Greene, who, in his own words, says he’s spent much of his life’s work “sharing extraordinary stories about extraordinary people.” Mr. Greene spent countless years practicing yoga and meditation with George Harrison, and eventually wrote “Here Comes The Sun,” a biography that chronicles the spiritual and musical journey of former Beatle. We’ll ask him about that. Joshua is also a renowned Holocaust scholar and filmmaker, whose books have sold more than a half-million copies worldwide, including “Unstoppable,” “Justice at Dachau,” and books for young adults, including “The Girl Who Fought Back,” and “Signs of Survival, A Girl on Schindler’s List.” We’ll ask him about all of them. Mr. Greene is a popular lecturer who has spoken at the Pentagon, and his films and documentaries on Holocaust history have aired on PBS and Discovery. He’s received numerous awards, including the Gold Metal at the NY International Film and TV Festival. On a personal note, Joshua M. Please join me in welcoming Raffaella Valentini, our esteemed Consul General of Italy in Los Angeles, who joins us to discuss a monumental event that soon grace our shores at the Port of Los Angeles - the arrival of what’s been called “the most beautiful ship in the world,” the Amerigo Vespucci. The Vespucci is the historic and iconic training ship of the Italian Navy, and it will be accompanied by a special flyover by the “Frecce Tricolore” Acrobatic Team of the Italian Air Force on opening day. We will discuss with Raffaella the history of the infamous explorer that the ship is named after, as well as the world voyage the Vespucci has traveled, and of course the significance of this moment in highlighting our Italian culture. Los Angeles is the first city in the world to host a maxi exhibition space called “Villaggio Italia” that will open from July 3rd-8th in front of the Vespucci ship at the Port of Los Angeles in San Pedro at Berth 50. This is something you will not want to miss, and will want to bring your family and friends. There will also be food, cooking shows, art exhibitions, concerts and more for all to enjoy. Lena Prima, Jazz Singer, Recording Artist, & Daughter of Jazz Legend Louis Prima

Lena Prima, Jazz Singer, Recording Artist, & Daughter of Jazz Legend Louis Prima
Please welcome to our show one of the most dynamic jazz performers of our time, Lena Prima, daughter of jazz great Louis Prima, who has clearly carved out a name for herself in New Orleans and around the globe for her electrifying stage performances and albums. I grew up with Louis Prima’s music playing in our Italian household. My parents, aunts, and uncles would dance to his music late into the evening on many weekends. So I was thrilled to meet Lena at the Italian American Museum in LA where she performed a few months ago, celebrating the Louis Prima exhibit currently on display there. Lena is a one-of-a-kind of jazz singer and performer, much like her dad. Her energy is the kind that comes around once in a generation, and watching her perform with her band, I can only imagine what it was like for her on stage with her dad when she was a kid. Sadly, Louis Prima died when Lena was 11, complications from a benign brain tumor. But everything about him in those eleven years made a permanent impression on Lena to this day. Lena grew up in Vegas but frequented New Orleans where her dad grew up. And her mom, Gia Malone, was also a singer and performer. Lena started her career in rock, but got the calling to perform jazz, and eventually plant roots in New Orleans, where she performs to this day. There’s a lot to talk about with Lena. Please join our conversation on all video and audio platforms of my #LittleItalyPodcast, #LittleItalyOfLAPodcast, & #DeborahKobyltLIVE. I’m your host, #DeborahZaraKobylt, and I thank you for being here. Please invite your friends, too! We’re so excited to have Lena Prima joining us󰏢

Marianna Cuomo Maier Title Holistic Health & Wellness Coach, Founder of Grata Wellness
Please give a warm welcome to my guest, Marianna Cuomo Maier, certified health & wellness coach and founder of Grata Wellness, which helps people take charge of their health, find more joy in their lives, and often, she says, it starts with food. Marianna holds wellness workshops, meditation, and journaling groups at wellness events in support of finding our healthier, more balanced selves. And as she tells it, Marianna was not always a healthy person. She had to learn how to do it. Marianna also writes for @AppetitoMagazine, and in fact, we were introduced by Appetito‘s founder, @AndrewCotto, as well as my friend, @AmyRiolo, writer of many books on the Mediterranean Diet, specifically the Dummies series. Marianna is also founder of the Emerging Leaders Council of the Italian Language Foundation, which is dedicated to promoting Italian language and culture nationally. And if the name Cuomo sounds familiar, she is of the infamous New York Cuomo family. Her grandfather, Mario Cuomo, was a beloved governor of New York. Uncle Andrew was also NY governor, and Uncle Chris is a well-known, award-winning TV journalist. Please join my conversation with Marianna on how we can all be healthier in a world that often promotes fast living and fast foods. She also talks about life growing up Cuomo, and how her Italian heritage helped form her wellness routines she lives by today. Ilaria Borrelli, Filmmaker, Women’s Rights Activist, Mother.
Please welcome to our show the immensely talented Italian director and actress, Ilaria Borrelli, who is also a human rights activist. In fact, much of Ilaria’s activism is reflected in her work, often with an emphasis on the rights of woman and young girls. I met Ilaria at the Italian Cultural Institute in Los Angeles, when she was speaking about her film, “The Goat,” about an 11-year-old pregnant orphan forced into marriage in her small Ethiopian village, only to escape with her goat, which provides nourishment, companionship, and even friendship throughout her difficult journey to find her her father, and ultimately peace. The film stars Mira Sorvino and John Savage, along with young Egyptian Tik Tok star, Jessica Hosam. Ilaria has been behind some of the most prolific films throughout her career, including “Life Is Beautiful,” and “A Girl from the Brothel,” among others. We will talk with her about her adventures filming in often dangerous condition, her life’s work as an actress and eventually behind the camera, and how it all began in Naples, Italia. She will also discuss her intense interest in spotlighting the dangers of human trafficking young girls, and how she hopes to shed a spotlight on the issue through her work. I’m honored to present Ilaria on our show, and thank you to my friend, Lorenza, for suggesting an interview. Please find my full conversation with Ilaria on all video and audio platforms of #DeborahKobyltLIVE, #LittleItalyPodcast, and #LittleItalyOfLAPodcast. Stan Zimmerman, Author. "The Girls: From Golden to Gilmore chronicles"
Please welcome to our show, Stan Zimmerman, author, “The Girls: From Golden to Gilmore. Stories about all the wonderful women I’ve worked with...and Roseanne.” Let’s just say Stan has worked with them all, and is a prime example of someone living his dream by living his truth. Stan Zimmerman grew up a self-proclaimed gawky Jewish kid from the suburbs of Detroit, who dreamed of becoming a wildly successful actor, rich enough to buy his own mansion in the Hollywood Hills. The actor part didn’t quite work out, but he found success as a writer, producer, director, and playwright on some of the most noteworthy shows in the business. The book chronicles his days from acting in plays in his basement as a kid, to attending NYU on scholarship, where he met his first serious boyfriend and somehow became Andy Warhol’s photo subject at Studio 54 one evening. This is a story about friendship, finding one’s sexuality after battling years of homophobia, and honoring the many women in his life who have been supportive through it all. This is about success and thriving in Hollywood. Did he get his big house in the Hills? We’ll ask him about that, too. Please join our interview on all video and audio platforms or #DeborahKobyltLIVE. I’m your host, #DeborahZaraKobylt, and it’s a pleasure to have you join us. David Richman, Author, “Cycle of Lives" - a Journey Through the Emotional Chaos of Cancer"
David Richman was once an overweight, sedentary smoker who was jolted into making big changes in his life. Now an entrepreneur, athlete, public speaker, and author, David joins us to discuss his latest book, “Cycle of Lives,” which chronicles the stories of 15 people, five-thousand miles, and the journey through the emotional upheaval of cancer that David and his family endured after his sister was diagnosed with brain cancer, which ultimately claimed her life. “Cycle of Lives” was created as the result of many years of dedication to raising awareness and funds for cancer research and care, inspired after his sister was initially diagnosed in 2007. Over the past 15 years, David has completed several events including a 104-mile run along the Pacific Coast Highway, 87-miles from Cancun to Tulum, numerous bike rides and other events to raise money for the American Cancer Society and Moffitt Cancer Society. David is also donating profits from his book sales to the cancer organizations he supports. The book talks about the emotional ride of dealing with loved ones with cancer, and we will talk about the bravery his sister displayed throughout her battle with this disease. Dr. Connie McReynolds, Author, "Solving the ADHD Riddle:
Often, some doctors and teachers were advocates of using medicine to quiet the child diagnosed with ADHD, but we now know that may not be the best option. Remember all the talk about how Ritalin could quiet a busy mind? Well, medicine is not longer the first choice to help people with ADHD succeed and lead happy, productive lives, and today we’re talking about it. Please welcome Dr. Connie McReynolds, author, “Solving the ADHD Riddle, The Real Cause and Lasting Solutions to Your Child’s Struggle to Learn.”  Dr. McReynolds and I will discuss auditory and visual procession issues that very often disguise themselves as “problems” in the classroom for teachers. Essentially, ADHD is about the brain not being able to fully hold or interpret information coming in, so we will talk about some new therapies that have proven successful, in addition to the “gifts” of ADHD, because from my own standpoint, I believe there are gifts associated with ADHD, and instead of having kids feel like failures for not being able to focus, perhaps we can learn to celebrate it with the knowledge that there are therapies to help the mind focus and thrive that are not about taking medicine. Through years of clinical research, Dr. McReynolds will talk about the success she’s had using neurofeedback. In fact, she says the results have been astonishing. Please find our full conversation on all video and audio platforms of #DeborahKobyltLIVE, and invite your friends, too. This is an important topic, and I hope you’ll join me in spreading the word.
