Hello, I'm Mark Anthony Wyatt, and I will be your host here at the Magical Realms Podcast, with knowledgeable assistance from Janice. We will be focusing on the borderlands, a neglected, mysterious place, where the paranormal meets and blends with our mainstream culture, such as in our creative arts; English literature (esp., in strange fiction); music; history; folklore, and film. I have always imagined, that this unseen, inspirational magical realm, would look something like a silent, encroaching sea fog, as it spookily envelops a small coastal community. We are both fascinated by all the weird stuff, the high strangeness that stalks many of us, such as UFOs; Ghosts; Black Eyed Kids; Bigfoot etc., but, unlike most paranormal themed podcasts, we're also highly absorbed by the relationship that this smorgasbord of strange has to our creative arts. Our intention then, with the occasional assistance of talented, thoughtful guests, from both the paranormal and creative fields, is to mine these deep lodes, these liminal spaces where the magic that sparks our creativity abides, and the muse resides!
