In 1936, Mary Pherribo used $500 she saved from her job as a housekeeper and bought a home in North Carolina. The equity from that property helped finance the homes and education of many of Mary's descendants, including great-granddaughter Tai Christensen who lives in Utah. Tai Christensen, director of governmental affairs at CBC Mortgage Agency joins Lee to discus the impact her great grandmother has made on her life.
