Cultural load is the often invisible extra work placed on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees to provide cultural knowledge, education and support. For example, being asked to do a Welcome to Country, a presentation about their culture, or offer advice from a First Nations perspective... All without the reduction of their usual workload, or being offered additional support.
