A Haunting Most Foul At Pond Square , Sir Francis Bacon ,
on todays story were going to go back to 1626, the place pond square in highgate london , which at the time was named pond square because of its two, man made ponds that was dug out by a hermit in the 14th century .but it was in 1626 that sir francis bacon , thethe english philosopher ,, and politician was riding through pond square in a horse drawn carraige ,accompanied by his friend Dr. Winterbourne it was a bitterly cold day in early april , and the snow lay thick upon the ground , during the journey the two men had been discussing if it was possible to preserve food other than using the salting method , sir fransis bacon was probably looking down at the brilliant white snow , and rubbing his hands together trying to keep himself warm , when all of a sudden , he had the crazy idea , that maybe food preserved in really cold conditions could stop it from spoiling .of course we know now that freezing food is a reliable way of preserving it ,but back then it was unheard of .and so to test the theory fransis bacon , went to a poor womans house that was at the bottom of high gate and purchase a chicken from her , who also slaughtered , gutted and plucked the unfortunate experimental bird.sir fransis bacon then went about packing the prepared chicken with snow , then placed it in a sack and then buried it in more snow , and voila , there you have the very first frozen chicken.unfortunatley for sir fransis bacon , whilst digging in the freezing cold conditions packing the chicken in the snow , he came down with a severe chill , and he was in no fit state to actually make it back to his own lodgings and was kindly alowed to sleep at Arundel House , in highgate ,un fortunatley the bed he was placed into hadnt been slept in for over a year and was damp and his chill quickly turned into pneumonia , and he died on the 9th of april 1626 only days after his experiment .but that wasnt the end of the story , you see ever since , through out the years , there have been many sightings of a distressed posibly phantom that likes to lurk around the area of pond square absolutley terrifing unlucky passers by who just so happen to lock eyes on the haunting appoirition ,but the ghost that haunts pond square isnt that of sir fransis bacon.please consider leaving a review, thank youhere is the link to the instagram post , come and share your thoughtshttps://www.instagram.com/p/Co...www.bizarrepodcast.com

The Scream Murder - Murder of Cassie Jo Stoddart
The Scream Murders On the night of the 22nd of september 2006 , cassie jo stoddart was house sitting for her aunt and uncle , who had asked her would she mind watching the family pets over the weekend ,Three cats and two dogs. The house was situated on whispering cliffs drive in north east Bannock County , in idaho. At around 6pm that night cassies boyfiend matt beckham arrived to keep her company , later that evening two other class mates arrived at the house to hang out ,brian draper and Torey Adamcik who were both 16 at the time , the same as cassie and matt . Once inside the house they were given the grand tour which included the basement area , before the four teens decided to head into the living room to sit and watch a movie. Which was kill bill vol 2 a very violent blood thirsty movie to say the least . But brian and tory were fine with this , they loved violent gory movies , especially slasher movie , movies involving terror and murder , movies like john carpenters halloween , and wes kravens scream . In hindsight this was most definatly a unhealthy obsession with horror movies , infact that how the two teenagers came together in the first place when they discovered the actually had a great deal in common , with there fascination for bloodlust ,Bizarre Podcast also has a youtube channel , Bizarre Tales https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXQNvacVKqwcxOgKMhLMOBAjoin us on Instagram , come and join inhttps://www.instagram.com/bizarrepodcast/please consider leaving the show a review on itunes , thank you
What Is A Tulpa ?

What Is A Tulpa ?
according to the website tulpa.info , a tulpa is described as the following A tulpa is an entity created in the mind, acting independently of, and parallel to your own consciousness. They are able to think, and have their own free will, emotions, and memories. In short, a tulpa is like a sentient person living in your head, separate from you. It’s currently unproven whether or not tulpas are truly sentient, but in this community, we treat them as such. It takes time for a tulpa to develop a convincing and complex personality; as they grow older, your attention and their life experiences will shape them into a person with their own hopes, dreams and beliefs. Most of my information today will be from this website, and the popular reddit community, which I reached out to in preparation for this episode and everyone there treated my curiosity with kindness and each person I spoke to were very welcoming and helpful.Tulpa notes Dopplerette by Kevin MacLeod is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/Source: http://incompetech.com/music/royalty-free/index.html?isrc=USUAN1100659Artist: http://incompetech.com/Fluidscape by Kevin MacLeod is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/Source: http://incompetech.com/music/royalty-free/index.html?isrc=USUAN1100393Artist: http://incompetech.com/https://www.tulpa.info/https://www.reddit.com/r/Tulpas/Bizarre Tales now has its very own you tube channel called Bizarre tales, please head over there and check it out , like , subscribe .....here is the linkhttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXQNvacVKqwcxOgKMhLMOBAjoin us on Instagram , come and join inhttps://www.instagram.com/bizarrepodcast/or on Facebookhttps://www.facebook.com/groups/1045277836269589/?ref=shareCompetitionsFunChatPlease help me by subscribing and leaving me a nice review , if you want :)Thank youvisit www.bizarrepodcast.com to listen to the show or view the merch shop , key rings , T shirts
The Philip Experiment
Oct 24 2022
The Philip Experiment
Back In 1972 in Toronto, Ontario a small group of people had decided to go ahead with a seance , to try and make contact with a deceased gentleman named" Philip Aylesford .Philip was born in 1624 in England, he had a very early military career and at the age of 16 he was knighted,Philip had served in the English civil war and was good friends with the Charles the 2nd and under his rule he become a spy, when he returned home, he would find love with a lady named Dorothea, but unfortunately this love was not to last and quickly turned sour, it wasn't long before Philip found himself another love interest, with a Romani woman, and he tried his best to keep the affair a secret, but eventually his wife would find out, and she plotted a particular cruel revenge plot, that was mainly aimed at Philips love interest.Dorothea accused the woman of being a witch, and she was burned at the stake whilst Philip did nothing to help her and simply let her burn.Overcome with guilt and sadness Phillip took his own life in 1654 at the young age of thirty. That is all the group knew about this gentleman from the 1600s , but it was more than enough they all sat around the table, and placed their fingers upon the table, and proceeded to try and communicate with Phillip and it wasn't long before the group started to feel the presence of a spirit , the way of communication was simple , one rap for yeas and two for no ,as they asked questions about Phillips life, it would seem that Phillip was responding with the right answers, throughout the séance the group experienced wrapping on the table, chills in the air, and strange echoes, and then the table actually tilted onto one leg and moved across the room and eventually ended up upside down it would seem that the group had actually made contact with a spirit who lived and died way back in the 1600s, and as far as the group was concerned the evidence was all there, it was conclusive, they had communicated with the dead there was only one small problem with their experiment, you see the character Phillip Aylesford was a pure fabrication, a fictional character, he never existed. in 1879, a Dr. Leslie Keeley announce that he had found a cure for alcoholism, but Keeley treated alcoholism as a disease rather than an addiction or dependence, and according to him this disease could be cured with his groundbreaking procedure, also known as the gold cure in order to rid yourself of the alcohol disease all you needed to do was book into the institute and treatment would begin with was four injections of bi chloride of gold four times a day as well as other tonics, the patients were placed in hotels, or local houses that also offered a spa like experience, and after 4 weeks the patient would be released a new person so to speak,it is thought the injections contained gold salts and vegetable oils and even ammonia, but Keeley always kept the ingredients of the injections a secret, and close to his chest and because of this his miracle cure was always met with scrutiny from the medical community who claimed it was a too good to believe that a cure for alcoholism could be administered and seen through to competition in only four weeksnevertheless, Keeley's business flourished, for every patient he cured he would then employ them to go out and promote the miracle cure, and Keeley's slogan spoke for itself which was  "Drunkenness is a disease and I can cure it." one man who was drawn to the idea of the gold cure was Benjamin , HH Holmes right hand man.Hey, guess what, Bizarre Tales now has its very own you tube channel called bizarre tales, please head over there and check it out, like, subscribe .....here is the linkhttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXQNvacVKqwcxOgKMhLMOBAalso here is a link to my other YouTube channel covering pop culture and all things geeky Pop Culture Pedestalhttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6ONBRtrLCSEKhQ4u_rjIlQ/videosjoin us on Instagram, come and join inhttps://www.instagram.com/bizarrepodcast/or on Facebookhttps://www.facebook.com/groups/1045277836269589/?ref=share
