This week on IN HER LENS, Adinah Dancyger talks about her journey as a filmmaker. Her short films Chopping Onions, Cheer Up Baby, and Moving have screened at various festivals including Sundance, Berlinale, NYFF, and Slamdance. Raised in New York City, and with a BA from Bard- Adinah has worked with brands like Zara, Gucci, Tory Burch, and companies like Nowness and Dazed. She has shot, directed, and edited music videos for artists like Okay Kaya and Aerial East. In this episode, Adinah and Nadine talk about visual storytelling and the development of her short films. In connection to her 2017 short Cheer Up Baby, they discuss channeling and confronting personal stories in a public form. Adinah talks about the joy of making music videos, creative collaborations, and setting boundaries with commercial work.
