What Happened After Mothman? Forever Changed and the Local State of Mind after Collapse of the Silver Bridge
Joining me is Jaci and Bill Kousoulas to discuss their new book BRIDGING THE TRAGEDY: Silver Linings in the Mysterious Ohio River Valley. In 2020, Phenomenology Research Professionals began developing a plan to conduct a scientific study about the after-effects of the Silver Bridge Disaster, the associated paranormal phenomena, and the good things that have come to pass in the region since the late 1960s. Having commuted to Point Pleasant regularly since 2016, we had already developed several relationships in the community. After a COVID-defiant 2020 trip, we constructed the outline of the present study, an investigation of the 1966-67 happenings to learn about the good outcomes that developed from the unexplained phenomena and the Silver Bridge Disaster.
Bill’s life-long interest in the paranormal began in the late seventies with the original Project UFO series that aired on Sunday night television. In 2003, he was introduced to The Mothman Prophecies movie, and it truly changed my life. Since then, he has read nearly all of John Keel’s research, as well as the works of similar authors including Gray Barker and Andy Colvin. Since 2016, Bill & his wife Jaci have visited Point Pleasant regularly, and they become friends with several area residents, including the late Carolin Harris, co-founder of the Mothman Festival. Bill holds a doctorate in psychology, with a focus on post-traumatic growth. Jaci is a retired USPS Postmaster and a current business owner/operator. She specializes in research, data analytics, and “connecting the dots” between intuition, perception, and reality. The couple resides in Northern Illinois.
