The episode starts with Jessica and Joseph talking about why they read their Bibles.

Jessica explains how she finds that though the Bible is an ancient book, it has life lessons that are applicable even today.

Joseph goes off on a rabbit trail explaining how his grandpa got him into reading the Bible and how he developed a habit of reading the good book.

Joseph then tries to deconstruct why the Bible was written and how we could then learn from the way that it was constructed to, read it in a nonlinear manner.
