The Cocoliztli Epidemics refers to a mysterious disease or many diseases that spread through Mexico in the 16th century and claimed millions of lives. This strange illness or collection of illnesses devastated the native population of the region. From the bizarre symptoms to the curious spreading patterns, this is the story of Cocoliztli.
