Ashurbanipal
Ashurbanipal was the last great king of the Neo-Assyrian Empire. He ruled the region of Mesopotamia in the 7th century BC. Apart from his military conquests, Ashurbanipal is famous for his collection of ancient Mesopotamian texts, referred to as the Library of Ashurbanipal. This is his story.
